An anime adaptation, first announced on April 15, 2011, aired on AT-X between January 6, 2012 and March 23, 2012, with subsequent broadcast runs on TV Kanagawa, Chiba TV, TV Aichi, Sun Television, Tokyo MX and BS11. AT-X airings are uncensored, while the airings on TV Kanagawa (which began on January 11, 2012) and other networks are heavily censored. The anime is produced by TNK under the directorship of Tetsuya Yanagisawa, written by Takao Yoshioka, music by Ryosuke Nakanishi, characters by Junji Goto, and produced by Hisato Usui, Jun Hatano, Shigeru Saito, Shinsaku Tanaka, Takuro Hatakeyama, and Tetsuya Tsuchihashi, respectively. Six DVD and Blu-ray volumes will be released by Media Factory between March 21, 2012 and August 29, 2012, each containing an OVA short entitled "Release the Swaying Delusions" (妄想爆揺解除オリジナルビデオ Mōsō Bakuyure Kaijo Orijinaru Bideo?, lit. "Release the Swaying Delusions Original Video").[9] An OVA 13th episode will be bundled with the 13th light novel on September 20, 2012 on Blu-ray. The anime is licensed in North America by Funimation Entertainment for simulcast on their video website,[10] before releasing the series on DVD and Blu-ray.

A second season announcement was made at the the of the OVA that was bundled with the 13th light novel of the series it is said that the second season will air sometime next year in 2013. Also a second OVA called the 14th episode of the first series is said to be bundled with the 14th or 15th light novel which come out on may in 2013.
